Salary: Grade 5 £34,882 – £37,842 (pay award pending)

Contract: Permanent, Full time

Contracted hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Location: Petersfield, Hampshire / Hybrid working

We’re looking for a Democratic Services Officer to provide support to elected members within the Council’s decision-making process and contribute to the governance of the Council.

About the role

  • Service formal and informal member and officer-level meetings.
  • Prepare and publish agendas.
  • Take minutes and support and undertake research for the council’s scrutiny function.
  • Organise and assist with events (facilitating similar activities).

About you

  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work to high standard, meet tight deadlines, attention to detail.
  • Minute-taking skills and willingness to attend some evening meetings at council offices.
