Multiskilled Operative

Salary: Competitive, plus Veolia benefits and pension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week 07:00am – 4:30pm

Location: Nathan Way, Thamesmead, SE28 0AB

What you’ll be doing

  • Compliance with all Health and Safety / Veolia policies and procedures
  • Safe operation of the site, inclusive of personnel, and static/mobile equipment
  • Compliance with the Site Licence and Management contract
  • Control of traffic in/out of the RDF
  • Monitor the quality of products to ensure that they meet pre-set specifications
  • Feeding RDF shredder with material using loading shovel or 360 excavator
  • Extraction of recyclable material from incoming waste
  • The above is not an exhaustive list and you will be required to carry out other reasonable tasks as and when required by the site management

What we’re looking for

  • Wheeled Loading Shovel certificate
  • 360 Excavator certificate
  • Proactive attitude to Health and Safety
  • Able to use initiative and be assertive
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Ability to work to input and output standard
