Role Overview

This practical support role ensures our homes remain safe, compliant, energy‑efficient and comfortable for residents. You’ll work across six homes, managing maintenance and refurbishment projects, coordinating contractors, and keeping records.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance, repair, and refurbishment across homes.
  • Handle decorating, flooring, joinery, minor electrical, plumbing and general tasks.
  • Plan and execute small refurbishment projects.
  • Work with contractors to meet safety and quality standards.
  • Identify maintenance priorities with Home Managers.
  • Coordinate materials and contractors for projects.
  • Monitor refurbishment budgets and update trackers.
  • Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
  • Complete audit action plans and compliance tasks.
  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Support energy efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and company policies.
  • Provide holiday cover for maintenance personnel and the coordinator.
  • Participate in alternate weekend on‑call rota, handling contractor authorisations.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong general maintenance knowledge.
  • Experience managing refurbishment projects from start to finish.
  • Capability to deliver refurbishment works to high standards.
  • Proficiency in Excel and general IT for budget tracking and record keeping.
  • Clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to manage budgets and monitor expenditure.
  • Willingness to work away from home when required.
  • Live within 60 minutes’ drive of the Jasmine Support Hub.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience within property, facilities, or care environments.
  • Experience managing or supporting maintenance teams.
