They are recognised for delivering high-quality, precision-engineered metal products and fabrication solutions to a global client base, including major infrastructure and government organisations. Due to continued growth and investment, they are looking to expand their skilled workshop team.
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for the assembly, fitting, and refurbishment of mechanical components used in demanding industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly and fitting of mechanical components and fabricated parts
- Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Maintenance, repair, and overhaul of mechanical systems
- Use of hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery
- Ensuring all work is carried out to required quality and safety standards
- Working collaboratively with fabrication and production teams
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Assembly Fitter is essential
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Background in manufacturing, heavy engineering, marine, or offshore environments is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
