The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for the assembly, fitting, and refurbishment of mechanical components used in demanding industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly and fitting of mechanical components and fabricated parts
- Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Maintenance, repair, and overhaul of mechanical systems
- Use of hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery
- Ensuring all work is carried out to required quality and safety standards
- Working collaboratively with fabrication and production teams
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Assembly Fitter is essential
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Background in manufacturing, heavy engineering, marine, or offshore environments is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
