Workshop Manager

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Workshop Manager for a full‑time permanent position with an established plant machinery business based in the Glenrothes area – a hands‑on leadership role with real autonomy and a salary of £40,000 to £45,000.

What’s on offer

• Full‑time permanent position
• Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5 pm
• £40,000 to £45,000 per annum – dependent on experience
• Company vehicle and phone provided

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of plant mechanics across workshop and mobile operations
• Manage job allocation, workloads and repair progress to maintain productivity and qualityServe as the primary point of contact for clients and build long‑term relationships
• Coordinate service schedules, parts ordering and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Produce reports and maintain accurate service documentation

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a workshop service manager or controller role within the plant or agricultural industry – car and HGV workshop experience will not be considered
• Strong technical knowledge of plant or agricultural mechanical systems
• Proven leadership ability with a customer‑focused approach
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a full, clean UK driving licence
