Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site Software Test Engineer role based in England, United Kingdom. The Software Test Engineer will design, create, and maintain test cases and test scripts for enterprise‑scale applications, ensuring functionality, performance, and reliability across cloud platforms and custom solutions. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include executing manual and automated tests, identifying and documenting defects, collaborating with software developers and business analysts, and participating in Agile ceremonies to refine requirements and test strategies. The role also involves contributing to test plans, improving test coverage, supporting regression and integration testing, and helping maintain quality standards aligned with Cranmore’s ASSURED Agile methodology.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Software Testing and Testing, with experience validating complex enterprise systems.
  • Proficiency in Test Execution and reporting, including documenting results and tracking defects to resolution.
  • Experience designing, maintaining, and optimizing Test Cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Familiarity with Software Development practices and life cycles, and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems, and exposure to automation frameworks is beneficial.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies, preferably with experience working in Scrum or similar environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering reliable, high‑quality software.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
