Logistics Procurement Lead

Leeds (Hybrid – 3 Days Office / 2 Days WFH)

Up to £80,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Bonus

Relocators with existing UK right to work are strongly encouraged to apply. Leeds is one of the UK’s fastest-growing cities, with excellent transport links and an easily accessible city centre office from across Yorkshire, the North West and the Midlands.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the procurement function of one of the UK’s leading retailers in a role offering genuine ownership, visibility and influence. As procurement continues to play an increasingly strategic role within the business, this position offers the chance to take full ownership of a key logistics portfolio and shape sourcing strategy within a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.

Joining a highly regarded procurement team, you’ll have the autonomy to make decisions, influence senior stakeholders and deliver tangible value while building your career within a household name that continues to invest heavily in its people and procurement capability.

What you’ll be doing

  • Taking ownership of strategic procurement across key logistics spend, with a primary focus on Road Transportation and additional responsibility for Ocean Freight
  • Developing sourcing strategies, leading complex commercial negotiations and managing key supplier relationships
  • Acting as the procurement lead for senior stakeholders across logistics and supply chain functions
  • Identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance, supplier capability and long-term value
  • Playing a key role in a procurement function where decisions are made quickly and procurement has real influence

What they’re looking for

  • Strong Logistics Procurement experience (operational logistics experience alone won’t be sufficient)
  • Category expertise across Road Transportation, with Ocean Freight experience highly desirable
  • Excellent strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier management capability
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence at a senior level
  • An ambitious procurement professional looking to own a strategic category and progress within a market-leading organisation

If you’re looking for a role where you can genuinely own your category, work within one of the UK’s strongest procurement functions and build your career with a growing household name, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
