Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Gas Engineer role based in Leicester with Plumbing Force. The Gas Engineer will diagnose and repair faults on gas appliances and central heating systems, carry out routine servicing, and complete safety checks in residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities include installing and commissioning boilers and heating systems, performing plumbing repairs, and supporting general building maintenance tasks as needed. The role involves responding to scheduled and emergency call-outs, maintaining accurate job records and documentation, and ensuring all work complies with current gas safety regulations and company quality standards. The Gas Engineer will interact with customers professionally, provide clear explanations of work carried out, and collaborate with team members and office staff to deliver reliable and efficient service.
Qualifications
- Strong Gas Engineering expertise, including LPG systems, with up-to-date knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards
- Practical experience with central heating installation, diagnostics, servicing, and repair
- Solid plumbing skills for routine repairs, installations, and system maintenance
- Experience in building maintenance and maintenance & repair of mechanical systems within residential or commercial properties
- Valid gas engineer qualifications and certifications (e.g., Gas Safe registration or equivalent)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on safety and quality
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel locally for call out
