Site Manager – Stranraer (Accommodation Allowance Provided)
Location: Stranraer, Scotland
Duration: September 2026
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of an exciting construction project in Stranraer.
The project involves the construction of a new community hub featuring:
- Change and shower facilities
- Classrooms and meeting rooms
- Café and kitchen facilities
- Office accommodation
- Open public spaces
The development is scheduled for completion in September 2026, offering a long‑term opportunity for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day site operations and coordinate subcontractors
- Ensure works are completed safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety inspections
- Monitor project progress and report to senior management
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Maintain site records and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Drive productivity while maintaining high standards of workmanship
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction projects
- Valid SMSTS
- Valid First Aid at Work certificate
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple trades and coordinate site activities effectively
- Excellent understanding of health and safety legislation
- Full UK driving licence preferred
