Job Responsibilities
Two individuals required to fill a new Obstetrics post at Leeds General Infirmary and St James University Hospital.
The role includes a 1:10 obstetric on call commitment currently, which will be adjusted as part of an expansion once appointments are concluded.
Applicants may work full or part time and are considered for job share. Shortlisted candidates will give a 10‑minute presentation on “How to improve outcomes for women with medical complexity: a vision for Maternal Medicine Leadership”.
Qualifications
The successful applicant should hold the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists MRCOG (or equivalent) and be on the Specialist Register or within six months of CCT at the time of interview if in a UK training programme.
All other doctors must be on the Specialist Register. Required experience includes established skills in Obstetrics and appropriate maternal medicine and high‑risk obstetric care. Excellent communication, team‑working, commitment to teaching and service development are essential.
Applicants should have completed SITMs/ATSMs appropriate to this specialist interest.
