Night Veterinary Surgeon (Night Vet) – permanent position on a 7 nights on / 14 nights off rota at a small animal veterinary hospital in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Key responsibilities include: 30‑minute out‑of‑hours consults, performing caesarean sections, pyometra, exploratory laparotomy with enterotomy and enterectomy, managing complex medical cases such as Addison’s disease, keto‑acidotic diabetic crises and severe pancreatitis. The role requires working nights alongside a dedicated night team (night nurse, night veterinary clinical assistant, reception cover until 10 pm and twilight nurse until midnight).

Qualifications

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
• Registered with the RCVS.
• Previous out‑of‑hours/ECC veterinary experience preferred.
