Job Description:

We’re looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to join our hybrid team in Newcastle. In this role, you will oversee the financial controllership and accounting framework for multiple legal entities in the UK and Ireland. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements, tax regulations and US-GAAP, while maintaining robust internal controls and driving process improvements. This is a critical leadership position that partners with senior finance and business stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and governance, while enabling growth in a regional market.ResponsibilitiesMaintain an effective accounting and internal control framework to ensure compliance with local regulations, US-GAAP and corporate policiesMonitor changes in local legislation and initiate policy adjustments to sustain compliance standardsReview and analyse monthly closing results to ensure accurate financial reporting of trial balancePrepare statutory-to-US-GAAP reconciliations and GAAP-to-tax bridges for deferred tax calculationsDeliver timely completion of statutory audits and related filings across jurisdictionsOversee preparation and submission of periodic and annual tax filings, handling responses to tax authority inquiries and managing tax audits in coordination with corporate tax teamsSupervise payroll operations in collaboration with the global payroll shared services teamEnsure compliance with transfer pricing requirements, coordinating with intercompany teams on documentationDrive integration initiatives for newly acquired entities and lead entity simplification efforts in the regionProvide guidance and controllership support to local leadership and other stakeholdersRequirementsBachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or a related fieldProfessional qualification such as CPA or local equivalent (tax-focused qualification preferred)Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting or audit within a multinational environment or Big4 firmAt least 5 years of leadership experience managing accounting and tax functions for legal entitiesStrong knowledge of statutory, IFRS and US-GAAP accounting standardsComprehensive understanding of tax compliance and transfer pricing frameworksProven track record in managing tax audits and statutory audit processesExperience in leveraging shared services as part of finance operationsAdvanced analytical and technical skills with proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems and MS OfficeHigh integrity, strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence across organizational levelsExcellent written and verbal communication in EnglishWe offerEPAM Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Protection benefits including life assurance, income protection and critical illness coverPrivate medical insurance and dental careEmployee Assistance ProgramCompetitive group pension planCyclescheme, Techscheme and season ticket loansVarious perks such as free Wednesday lunch in-office, on-site massages and regular social eventsLearning and development opportunities including in-house training and coaching, professional certifications, and coursesIf otherwise eligible, participation in the discretionary annual bonus programIf otherwise eligible and hired into a qualifying level, participation in the discretionary Long-Term Incentive (LTI) Program#J-18808-Ljbffr…
