Location: Manchester
Job Description:

About Summize

We’re an ambitious legal tech scale‑up on a mission to get entire businesses working faster and smarter with contracts. With offices in Manchester (UK), Boston and San Diego (US), we’re growing fast and making big things happen on both sides of the Atlantic. Five years of consistent growth. A product people love. A culture built around personal development and doing great work. That’s Summize.

The Role

As Delivery Manager at Summize, you’ll be the connective tissue across our product, engineering, DevOps and customer‑facing teams, keeping delivery moving without adding unnecessary process overhead. This is the first Delivery Manager role here, so we need someone who is keen to embrace a big opportunity and carve out this role from the ground up! This is a hands‑on role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment and knows how to get things done.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinate cross‑functional delivery across product, engineering and DevOps
  • Drive execution of initiatives from planning through implementation and release
  • Manage dependencies, risks and delivery timelines
  • Facilitate lightweight planning, progress tracking and stakeholder communication without excessive process overhead
  • Identify and remove blockers to maintain delivery momentum
  • Support development teams in improving ways of working, operational efficiency and decision‑making
  • Apply Delivery Management methodologies pragmatically – we need someone who knows what will work and when, not an agile evangelist
  • Provide clear reporting on delivery status, risks and outcomes to leadership
  • Balance speed, quality and business impact in a rapidly changing environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • A natural ability to create structure and order out of chaos
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt quickly to changing priorities – thrive when things are busy and bring calm and direction without slowing the team down
  • Low‑ego, collaborative style with high emotional intelligence
  • Ability to build trust and confidence in others and create space for quieter voices to be heard; you bring people with you rather than lead from the front
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong understanding of technology delivery processes, cross‑functional collaboration and the benefits of Kanban, Scrum, XP and other methodologies; agile certification is preferred

What We Offer

  • 26 days holiday plus flexible bank holidays (increasing by one holiday for each year of service, up to a maximum of 30 days)
  • Health‑care cash plan with Simply Health
  • Access to several health‑care services, including free virtual GP service, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Cycle to Work and Tech Scheme
  • Access to discounts on travel, electronics, fashion, fitness and more
  • Rich learning and development opportunities via Udemy Business
  • City‑centre offices with fantastic perks such as a fully stocked fridge providing soft drinks and complimentary breakfast
  • Work from anywhere after one year of employment
  • Employee share option scheme
  • Regular social activities and events
  • Opportunity to be part of one of Manchester’s hottest tech scale‑ups

Equal Opportunity Employer

We understand the value of having a diversity of identities, backgrounds and thinking within our company, so we’re open to hearing from applicants who don’t yet tick all the boxes. If that’s you, please accompany your application with a short summary explaining how you’d close the gap on the skills you don’t yet have.
