We are currently recruiting for a Goods in and Despatch Coordinator to join our team at the Dewsbury factory. The role is part of a multi‑functional production/TPM team aiming to achieve key targets within the departmental environment, helping to deliver cost, quality and efficiency benefits to the Factory. Working hours are based on a 5 on 5 off, 4 on 4 off, 5 on 5 off shift system.
Responsibilities
- Loading brick packs onto lorries using a 4, 6 & 8 pronged counterbalanced forklift truck
- Liaising with sales and customers.
- Making up brick samples.
- Working with Production to manage the blending and re‑packing of products.
- Working to SSOPs with safe and precise working practices at all times.
- General maintenance and housekeeping.
- Lead a small team of loaders and manage contract labour.
- High degree of health and safety and environmental awareness.
- Help with month‑end stock taking.
Qualifications
- Valid counterbalanced forklift licence
- Reading, writing ability and basic numeric skills.
- Basic computing skills.
- Flexible and self‑motivated working attitude.
- Good vision.
- Ability to work as part of a team or on your own.
- Good time‑keeping and attendance records.
- Team‑working attitude and good communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience of a modern manufacturing environment in particular the loading of brick delivery lorries.
- Knowledge of the Leicester brick range.
- Understanding of the brick manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of the principles of TPM and Continuous Improvement.
- Basic mechanical skills.
Training & Development
- Counterbalance forklift operation to company standards.
- Product knowledge.
- TPM tools & techniques inclusive of 5S principles.
- Localised health and safety procedures.
