Deputy Headteacher – SEND School

Company: Parker Smith Inclusion
Apply for the Deputy Headteacher – SEND School
Location: London
Job Description:

Parker Smith Inclusion is supporting a special school in Waltham Forest that is part of a larger trust and they are seeking a Deputy Headteacher. The school will need a Deputy Head in September due to the school joining a new trust and some staff moving to other sites.

This school is a large SEND school covering various SEND needs and serves primary and secondary age pupils.

The successful candidate for this role will be ambitious, have a proven track record as a senior leader, and possess a strong understanding and passion for SEND and improving the lives of young people with autism and complex needs. You will contribute across a wide range of leadership responsibilities and shape the future of the school’s new development. In addition to your Deputy Head duties you will lead a designated subject area, monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, and assess its impact on pupil progress.

About the Trust

This particular trust has a proven track record of progression and expansion across East London & Essex Schools. They invest in staff, believe everyone should be given a fair opportunity to prove themselves, and maintain one of the highest staff retention rates. You would be part of a trust that is emotionally invested in the needs of the students, not just the statistics; all senior leaders are hands‑on and on the ground, meaning you can genuinely feel the difference you are making to students and their families.

The trust also invests heavily in management training for senior leadership and uses shared management tools across the trust to promote cohesion and collaboration across the wider leadership team.
