The role

As a Senior Operations Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving performance across the operation, working closely with senior leadership to deliver for our clients and continuously raise the bar. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll influence how we operate, develop high‑performing teams and make a real impact on service, efficiency and growth.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Driving operational performance, productivity and service delivery across your areas of responsibility
  • Leading and developing management teams to deliver a high-performing, engaged operation
  • Supporting wider site performance through strong collaboration with the senior team
  • Monitoring and improving KPIs and SLAs, taking action where required
  • Driving continuous improvement and embedding best practice across teams
  • Supporting and delivering operational change to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Ensuring Health & Safety standards are consistently met and maintained
  • Providing clear updates on performance, risks and priorities to senior leadership
  • Supporting labour planning and cost control to deliver an efficient operation
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients
  • Identifying development needs and building capability across the team

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience in a senior warehouse management role
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams
  • Confident supporting site performance and working with senior stakeholders
  • Organised and able to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations, KPIs and service delivery
  • Working knowledge of WMS and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Sound understanding of Health & Safety in a warehouse setting
  • Experience managing performance, absence and disciplinary processes
  • Resilient, adaptable and able to react quickly to challenges
  • Proactive, solution‑focused and able to “think on your feet”
  • Strong communicator who understands the importance of customer service
