Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Veterinary Assistant with at least 6 months of veterinary experience to join our growing team. This position supports our veterinarians and credentialed technicians by providing quality patient care, assisting with medical procedures, maintaining a clean and organized hospital, and delivering exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for animal health and client care.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations and treatments
- Safely restrain pets for exams, blood draws, radiography, nail trims and other procedures
- Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and accurate weights
- Prepare surgical patients and assist with anesthesia and recovery as directed
- Maintain accurate medical records
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a veterinary hospital
- Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal handling
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
