Location: Alness, Scottish Highlands

Salary: Up to £18.50 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 17:00 (45 hours per week)

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / Welder on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing workshop environment, working on a variety of fabrication projects and producing high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabrication of metal components from engineering drawings
• MIG and/or TIG welding to a high standard
• Cutting, bending, and assembling materials
• Working with a range of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
• Ensuring all work meets required quality standards
• Carrying out basic inspections of completed work
• Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
• Working independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fabricator / Welder
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Good understanding of health & safety within a workshop environment
• Reliable and able to meet deadlines

Desirable

• Relevant welding or fabrication qualifications
• Experience using workshop machinery (press brake, guillotine, etc.)
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
