Location: Location Independent Worker – London or Birmingham

Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

As a Location Independent Worker, you may be required to perform your duties, either temporarily or permanently, from any of our offices or customer sites within a reasonable geographic area of your home address. Our “Office in a Box” home‑working kit will provide you with everything you need, no matter where you are.

Job Summary

As a Project Manager in the Customer Delivery function, you will lead the successful delivery of complex projects from initiation through to completion. You will be responsible for defining scope, managing budgets, controlling risk, and ensuring robust governance, while working closely with stakeholders to deliver against agreed objectives, timelines, and financial targets.

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage project or work package scope, ensuring all changes are controlled in line with formal Change Control processes.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project and resource plans, securing stakeholder approval and driving delivery against agreed milestones.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, maintaining an up-to-date Risk and Issue Register throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure full adherence to the Vodafone Project Delivery Framework, establishing and operating appropriate governance with customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage project finances, tracking costs against the approved baseline and controlling variations through change control.
  • Ensure Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) codes accurately reflect the project structure and are clearly communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee project billing milestones using designated reporting tools, maintaining clear visibility of cost ownership, milestone status, project margin, total contract value (TCV), and resource alignment.

Qualifications

  • Prince2 Practitioner or equivalent.
  • Significant proven Project Management experience of managing large and complex client‑facing projects.
  • Self‑motivated individual with good organisational, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for translating technical detail to on‑site clients and multi‑disciplinary engineering/vendor teams.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to interpret contractual detail.
  • Experience managing on‑site customer delivery, technical workshops, and deployment activities.
