IT Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud

Salary: £55,000 – 55,000 per year

Requirements

• Strong hands-on infrastructure support experience in a Microsoft cloud infrastructure environment, including Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, Enterprise Device Management, and VMware vSphere
• Experience with Microsoft Server environments
• Strong experience with virtualization, particularly VMware vSphere, Intune, and modern workplace technologies
• Experience supporting Azure cloud-based solutions
• Some IT security experience would be an advantage
• Must be able to commute to our Cardiff office for a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage our IT infrastructure to meet current and future business needs
• Administer and support our Microsoft Server environments to ensure reliability, availability, and optimal performance
• Support our cloud infrastructure, particularly within Azure, ensuring seamless integration and operation
• Manage enterprise backup and recovery solutions to safeguard data integrity and security
• Implement, monitor, and enhance infrastructure security controls, proactively identifying and mitigating risks when directed by our IT security team
• Perform regular system audits and produce reports to support informed strategic decisions
• Provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to our IT colleagues and end users
• Work alongside senior engineers to deliver service to users across the company
• Contribute to infrastructure support, restore activities, security remediation, and technical documentation
