Brighton College Prep Hove is seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant Intern on a full-time basis.
Main Purpose of the Role
To assist with the efficient running of the Finance department. This is a fixed-term placement for one year, with the possibility of an extension to the contract or a permanent position, starting in September 2026.
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitoring of accounts and credit card mailboxes whilst dealing with incoming queries.
- Performing monthly reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts.
- Budget holder administration.
- Assist with the Purchase Ledger.
- Assist with the ordering of resources.
- Banking tasks; cash counting and paying in (charity).
- Assist credit with posting of incoming payments and issuing receipts.
- Assisting with year-end audit.
- Bill run assistance (to include inputting of charges, checking of bills and deposit refund process).
- Collate all details on chargeable extras for invoicing.
- Trip management: set up trips on MIS and ensure back up documents in place, reconcile residential trip payments.
- Assist in the administration of the Brighton & Hove Early Years Education Funding.
- Any other reasonable management request.

Hours of Work
Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm with a 60-minute unpaid lunch break (37.5 hours per week).
