Field Service Engineer (Manchester)

The job
A permanent position for a Field Service Engineer with experience of repairing and maintaining mechanical handling equipment. This is a regular days position based out of Hull and attending customers’ sites throughout the HE postcodes.
Managing your own diary and reporting to the Field Service Manager, you will attend customers’ sites to diagnose hydraulic, electrical or mechanical faults, repair on site if possible or arrange further action if necessary.
Clear and professional communication with customers is essential as well as liaising with and advising internal and external colleagues to ensure smooth resolution of issues.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical handling equipment faults on customer sites.
Arrange further action when repairs cannot be carried out on site.
Manage your own diary and report regularly to the Field Service Manager.
Maintain professional communication with customers and coordinate with internal and external teams to resolve issues.
Requirements
Stable work history demonstrating thorough understanding and experience of maintaining plant and mechanical handling equipment.
IT literate and driving licence essential.
