They are a UK leading organisation specialising in the Manufacture, Installation, Service & Maintenance of Purified Water Systems predominantly for the Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices and Health & Beauty industries throughout the UK. The role is based in the manufacturing facility in Shildon, County Durham, with routine installs and service visits at client sites across the UK.

Job Type: Full‑Time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £40,000 Per Annum (OTE £45k) depending on experience
Location: Shildon, County Durham DL4
Working Hours: 37.5 per week (09:00‑17:00)
Holiday Entitlement: 33 days (25 plus statutory holidays)
Overtime and Travel: All hours beyond 37.5 are paid at 1.5×. Frequent travel is required; travel days are paid at overtime rate and Saturday/Sunday shifts receive additional uplift.
About the Role
The role involves commissioning and maintenance activities such as:
- Instrumentation setup and calibration
- Reverse Osmosis membrane and filter replacement
- Mechanical disassembly of pressure vessels (e.g. WFI/PSG chambers)
- Chemical cleaning
- Mechanical rotating equipment and electrical/instrument troubleshooting and repairs (12 VDC–415 VAC)
Work is carried out according to approved method statements, with on‑the‑job training included.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience (minimum 5 years) in Engineering, Electrical, Process or Chemical Services, including pharmaceutical process equipment such as Purified Water Systems, RO/EDI, WFI Distillation, Plant & Clean Steam Generators.
- Knowledge of instrumentation and electrical system fundamentals.
- NVQ 3/HNC/HND or equivalent supporting qualifications.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to undertake a company pool vehicle.
- Ability to work unsupervised and manage time effectively across multiple sites.
