About the Role
Join Children’s Social Care as a Team Manager in our Leaving Care Service. Enjoy a Recruitment and Retention Bonus, outlined as follows:
- £1,000 paid with your first month’s salary
- £1,000 for your first completed year of service
- £2,000 for your second completed year of service
- £3,000 for your third completed year of service and each year thereafter
As a Team Manager you will play a crucial role in overseeing the care and support of young people leaving care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing a multidisciplinary team to deliver effective care plans for leaving care.
- Ensuring interventions are child‑centred and in the best interests of the young people.
- Overseeing assessment, planning and review processes for care leavers.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, policies and professional standards.
As a leader you will foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages professional growth and continuous improvement. You will chair meetings, collaborate with multi‑agency professionals and safeguard the children and young people in your care.
Qualifications & Experience
Relevant qualifications and experience include:
- Registered with Social Work England and holding a degree in Social Care or a related discipline.
- Experience working with children or young people in a care environment.
- Experience leading and managing a multidisciplinary team.
- Sound knowledge and ability to deliver social work support to service users and their families.
- Clear communication of complex social issues to both service users and professionals.
- Ability to plan and coordinate social care plans and aspects of discharge.
