Mental Health Practitioner – PKC13974£Perth and Kinross Council’s Wellbeing Support Team provides early intervention and relapse prevention services to empower individuals to recover from, or live better with, the symptoms of mental ill health through the provision of information, support, self-management programmes, community connections and peer support. We are recruiting for a Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. You will contribute to assessment, risk assessment, personal outcome recovery care planning and review. You will be directly involved in delivering support to adults with moderate mental health needs living in rural towns and villages in Perth and Kinross. You will plan, organise and manage the delivery of support in line with policy, procedure and best practice. The support offered will be delivered over a six-month period and will be recovery-focused, encouraging the development of self-management skills to support service users to move on from, or live better with, the symptoms of mental ill health. You must have a genuine interest in working with people in a recovery focussed approach to improve their mental health and wellbeing. You will have previous experience of working with people with mental health needs. The Mental Health Practitioner role within the Wellbeing Support Team requires qualification of either a Band 6 Nursing award or Social Work DipSW Degree level. You must have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to utilise PKC pool vehicles.
