Runner/forklift driver

double day shifts – rotating 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm

Overall Purpose Of Job

To assist in preparing and maintaining the supply of all parts and consumables required to support Mouldshop

Responsibilities:

? To ensure all presses are ready to run up to the standard required

? To be able to obtain master samples ready for the Setters for set the press and submit first offs to QC

? Ensure all jigs and fixtures are available and in place at the time of the mould run

? To ensure all packaging/stillages are ready and available for the start of the mould run but also to maintain steady supply to minimise press downtime

? To assist production in any moulding machine related matters as necessary

? To relocate finished product to Stores and update the system accordingly

? Comply with operating disciplines, practices, procedures and documentation, to assure that machinery and equipment deliver quality product efficiently

? To be able to complete the press handover document, print works orders on Javelin and locate works orders correctly

? To support and understand the daily Mouldshop plan

? Able to enter accurately data onto our system for mouldings produced and scrapped

? Adhere and follow the work instructions

? To be able to print all barcode types for specific moulding jobs

? To be able to cover operator absence (including break cover)

? Keep tooling, presses and ancillary areas clean, tidy and organised in accordance with 5S methodology

? Operate Moulding machines as required

? To carry out stock checks or stock sorts when required

? Any other reasonable task as specified by the Moulding Dept. Manager or Setting Supervisor

Competencies

? Flexible, dynamic, motivated, and independent

? Effective time management skills working with tight timescales to meet production / manufacturing needs

Experience

? Forklift, reach truck, WNA, counterbalance (requirement)

? Overhead crane licence (desirable/advantageous)

? PC literate MS Office/Javelin (preferred, but will be trained if necessary)

? Strong numeracy and literacy skills

? Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment
