3.5 Tonne Driver/ Grounds maintenance

We have an exciting opportunity for 3.5 Tonne drivers to work on a local council contract, this role will involve driving and street cleansing, opening parks, strimming/ mowing and more (training to be provided)

Shifts available:

• Monday to Sunday work, 5 days out of 7
• Working as part of a two or three person crew
• £12.71 /hr

Main Duties:

• Carry out general grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and lawn edging.
• Prepare soil for planting by digging and conditioning areas for flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Maintain landscaped areas through regular weeding, watering, and mulching.
• Safely and efficiently operate both power and hand tools for various grounds keeping tasks.
• Ensure healthy plant growth by properly irrigating lawns and landscaped areas.
• Construct and repair fences, walkways, and other outdoor structures as needed.
• Perform routine inspections of the grounds to identify and address maintenance issues.
• Work collaboratively with the team to complete landscaping projects on time and to standard.

Requirements:

• Physical Capability: Able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, digging, and standing for long periods.
• Adaptability: Comfortable working outdoors in diverse weather conditions with a consistently positive attitude.
• Tool Proficiency: Skilled in the safe use of power tools including lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers.
• Mechanical Skills: Ability to operate and maintain a variety of landscaping equipment.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on delivering high‑quality results in all tasks.
• Experience: Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
