Job Description:
Lead Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator is required at Thurnby Fields, a residential and dementia care home located in Leicester, opening September 2026. The role involves planning and delivering stimulation activities that promote independence, choice, and social interaction for residents. The Coordinator will also manage a volunteer programme, coordinate fundraising and special events, and liaise with local community partners.
Key Information
Salary: £15.00 per hour plus company benefits.Hours: 40 hours per week with some weekend work required.Driving licence: Full, clean licence required (must be over 21).
Responsibilities
- Organise and conduct activities that encourage social, mental and, where appropriate, physical stimulation.
- Develop and maintain relationships in the local community to recruit, train and place volunteers.
- Plan and execute fundraising events and special celebrations (e.g., Christmas entertainment, visits to Ascot, Royal occasions).
- Produce a monthly programme of events and present it to the General Manager.
- Encourage residents and team members to participate in the home’s activities programme.
- Maintain posters and notice boards within the home.
Person Specification
- Medically able to carry out duties.
- Previous experience in a similar environment.
- Computer literacy.
- Full, clean driving licence, aged over 21.
