Help Shape the UK’s Energy Future

Package Manager – PTS Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C

As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2‑gigawatt power station generating low‑carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the Main Civil Works Section.

What will you do?

  • Act as the day‑to‑day engineering interface with the Tier 1 sub‑contractor
  • Manage off‑site fabrication of complex steel components, modular assemblies and embedded parts
  • Interpret engineering design releases and interface requirements early and accurately
  • Coordinate engineering, design, manufacturing and construction teams to avoid rework and late changes
  • Support the transition from manufacturing through to on‑site installation and integration
  • Champion safety, quality and right‑first‑time delivery across the supply chain

What are we looking for?

  • Lead technical coordination across engineering, manufacturing and construction disciplines
  • Review and approve manufacturing drawings, specifications and technical documentation
  • Manage RFIs, FCRs, NCRs and maintain configuration control in line with SZC governance
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear‑grade quality requirements, including welding, NDT and material traceability
  • Identify and mitigate risks across the manufacturing lifecycle
  • Support and guide junior engineers within the team
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and Tier 1 suppliers

Candidate profile

  • A degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in off‑site fabrication of complex components within large infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of nuclear or similarly regulated environments
  • Proven supplier and stakeholder management capability
  • Clear communication skills and sound technical judgement
  • Eligibility for UK security vetting (normally requiring UK residency for at least three of the past five years)
