Opportunity
Nexus Resource Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a long-established and highly respected engineering company with a busy and diverse workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled, time-served machinist to join a stable business offering long-term career prospects and excellent employee benefits. Working within the machine shop, you’ll be involved in the manufacture of both batch and one-off components using a combination of CNC and conventional machine tools. This is a hands‑on machining role and is not suitable for programming or operator‑only candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC and manual milling machines, lathes, turning and drilling equipment
- Manufacture precision components from engineering drawings
- Produce both batch work and bespoke one-off components
- Maintain high quality standards and attention to detail
- Work independently and collaboratively within the workshop team
- Comply with all Health & Safety procedures
- Support business requirements including occasional overtime and weekend work
What We’re Looking For
- Time-served machinist (essential)
- Previous experience in a similar engineering environment
- Competent using both CNC and conventional machine tools
- Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to programme using Fanuc would be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Proactive, reliable and able to manage multiple tasksFull UK driving licence preferred
Hours
Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 3:30pmFriday: 7:00am – 12:00 noonOccasional overtime and weekend work available in line with business requirements.
