Following a major investment across the Acorn Pubs estate, The Blue Boar will soon close for a significant refurbishment before reopening with a fresh new look and renewed ambition. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join us ahead of the relaunch and help shape the pub’s future success.

Working alongside the General Manager, you’ll help bring the relaunch to life, build and develop a fantastic team, and deliver exceptional hospitality every day.

About you
As Deputy Manager you’ll be working alongside the Pub Manager helping to lead the team and run our busy pub. You’ll be managing busy services, planning and running special events, welcoming and looking after customers and helping to train and lead our lovely bar/waiting team. You’ll draw on your knowledge and experience to decide which beers, gins and wines we offer and how our events should be run. This is a hands‑on role where you will be at the heart of everything happening, ensuring that things run smoothly.
