SaaS Implementation Engineer

Responsible for deploying and configuring Varian’s oncology SaaS products at customer sites, managing the full implementation lifecycle from kick‑off through go‑live, and ensuring high‑quality client experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end SaaS product deployments across Varian’s oncology portfolio, including ARIA Cloud CQM, ARIA CORE Insights, ARIA CORE Mobile, ARIA STM, and Noona.
  • Manage the full implementation lifecycle from kick‑off through go‑live, including pre‑install coordination, configuration, testing, and documentation.
  • Deliver customer‑facing technical presentations and lead working sessions throughout the deployment process.
  • Advise customers on connectivity and configuration approaches based on their current environment and product specifications.
  • Execute deployment steps following documented procedures and runbooks; submit required deployment artifacts per Varian quality processes.
  • Manage and update customer cloud product environments as needed; complete all task documentation to meet Varian quality processes and procedures.
  • Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity to the Varian Cloud (AWS and Azure), including VPN, IP whitelisting, and firewall configuration.
  • Implement and validate HL7 messaging integrations (ADT, SIU, MDM, ORU, ORM) and FHIR integrations across supported products.
  • Address security configuration requirements including SSO, SAML, Azure AD, and identity provider setup supporting OpenIDConnect 1.0 and OAuth 2.0.
  • Deploy and configure cloud connectivity components and coordinate on‑premise installation activities.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting for supported products; independently diagnose and resolve complex deployment issues; document root cause and resolution.
  • Deliver a positive, professional customer experience throughout the implementation lifecycle and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Compile and deliver accurate status reports to assigned project managers; maintain complete and timely project documentation.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to support successful implementations and surface field insights.
  • Participate in internal testing, training, and knowledge‑sharing activities; contribute to team playbooks and deployment documentation.

Qualifications

Required experience and skills:

  • 5–10 years of experience in IT, cloud, and networking environments.
  • Experience deploying and supporting enterprise SaaS or healthcare software solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple concurrent implementation projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts for non‑technical clinical and IT stakeholders.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Cooperative, composed, and an effective team player.
  • Professional fluency in English.
  • Willingness to travel to designated events (<15% travel required).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), networking, and security configuration.
  • Experience with HL7 messaging standards and healthcare integration engines (Cloverleaf or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with identity and access management concepts (SSO, SAML, Azure AD, OAuth 2.0 / OpenIDConnect).

Preferred:

  • Experience with FHIR APIs and healthcare data interoperability standards.
  • Familiarity with patient engagement platforms, oncology information systems, or healthcare SaaS products.
  • Experience with project management or CRM tools (e.g., Monday.com, Salesforce, or equivalent).
  • Experience with flowchart and diagramming software.
  • Familiarity with oncology clinical workflows and healthcare IT environments.
