DIY Volunteer
Once per week. Stephen Cox Garden Trust, 84 Studley Lane, Calne, SN11 9NH.
Volunteer Overview
We are looking for students who are interested in solving problems, making improvements, upcycling, restoration, conservation and wildlife. This flexible placement allows you to come and help whenever you can. Our charity garden site is a half‑acre field transformed into a series of ‘rooms’ including woodlands, orchards, vegetable gardens and more. These are separated by vistas such as a fishpond, waterfall, fountains and footpaths.
Responsibilities
You will help maintain and develop these features. Tasks include re‑laying a paved patio, repairing wooden benches, repainting outbuildings, rebuilding rock walls and many more. Whether you have experience in countryside management and conservation or not we’ll support you in developing your skills further.
Recognition
If you log your volunteering hours here, you can qualify for the Bristol PLUS award.
