Library Resources Officer

We are looking for a Library Resources Officer to join our friendly team in the Princes Risborough Library. This customer‑facing role requires presence at the library site each day and occasional travel to other libraries across Buckinghamshire.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with enquiries and promote access to digital services.
• Develop the library as a community hub, providing information services that enrich residents’ lives.
• Supervise and support staff or volunteers, ensuring professional and knowledgeable customer service to residents and visitors.
• Manage library resources and maintain day‑to‑day operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising staff or volunteers.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to engage people.
• Passion for libraries and a desire to transform the lives of children, young people and families.
• Knowledge of digital services and the ability to help patrons access information.

Salary: Pro‑rated to 23.75 hours per week according to the grade level for the role. Buckinghamshire Council is a Disability Confident employer.
