Bank/Casual Support Worker (Adult Learning Disabilities)

Hours:Zero hour contract

Location:Mirfield (WF14 0DQ)

Salary:£12.81/hr (day shifts) and £13.61/hr (night shifts)

Bank roles at Hollybank allow additional flexibility that you may not get from a permanent contracted role. You will be required to attend a 2 week Trust induction, the dates/times of which are fixed. Please only apply if you are able to attend the induction.

Whilst the role is offered on a 0hr contract basis, there would regularly be 15-40hrs per week on offer depending on your availability.

About the Role

As a Bank Support Worker, you’ll provide day‑to‑day holistic support to adults, following the Trust’s intrinsic principles and behaviours. Your work will help individuals maintain independence, feel included in their communities, and enjoy the best possible quality of life. You’ll work closely with experienced Support Workers, Senior Support Workers, Deputies, and Registered Managers as part of a dedicated and values‑driven team.

  • Support adults with daily living activities while promoting independence and choice in all areas
  • Encourage participation in community activities and meaningful experiences
  • Maintain dignity, respect, and positive relationships at all times

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, and other professionals

Previous experience in a care or support setting is not essential, but is preferred. Full training will be provided.
