Job Role
As an Art Teacher, you will teach small classes of students with a range of special educational needs, delivering engaging and highly differentiated lessons that encourage creativity, self-expression and confidence. You will create a calm and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported and motivated to participate in creative activities. The school provides excellent support from Teaching Assistants and senior leaders, allowing teachers to tailor learning to meet individual needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys thinking creatively and building strong relationships with students.
- Teaching Art to small classes of students with SEND
- Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
- Encouraging creativity, confidence and self-expression
- Creating a calm, structured and inclusive classroom environment
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff
- Using creative approaches to support engagement and progress
- Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress
- Contributing to personalised learning plans and student targets

Qualifications
This role would suit a qualified teacher with strong subject knowledge and a genuine interest in supporting students with SEND. Previous SEND experience is desirable but not essential.
