We’re looking for two Sample Logistics Technicians to join our busy land testing laboratory in Hawarden. This is a great opportunity to start or build a career in environmental testing and laboratory operations. You don’t need previous laboratory experience to succeed in this role. If you’ve worked in retail, hospitality, warehousing, manufacturing or another fast‑moving environment, you may already have the skills we’re looking for: attention to detail, reliability, time management and a team‑focused attitude.

About the Position

Hours per week: 37Working patterns available: Wednesday to Saturday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.Contract: Full‑time, permanentSalary: From £25,878 per annum (plus £2,000 per year shift allowance for the 5:00 a.m. start shift)Location: Hawarden

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

  • Receive, register and prepare incoming samples accurately and on time.
  • Pack sample containers and kits for dispatch to customers.
  • Rotate sample bottles and dispose of them correctly following analysis.
  • Keep work areas clean, tidy and well‑organised at all times.
  • Process returned items and laboratory waste for recycling or safe disposal.
  • Work in line with ISO17025 and the company quality management system.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at GradeC/4 or above, including Science, Maths and English.
  • Confident IT skills, including Excel and Outlook, with the ability to learn internal systems.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong team‑working skills and willingness to support colleagues.
  • Committed to Health & Safety, including correct use of PPE and safe manual handling.
  • Able to report near‑misses/incidents promptly and follow correct storage and safety procedures.
