Location: Veolia Pitsea Landfill, Pitsea Hall Lane, Pitsea, Basildon, Essex SS16 4UH. Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Contract: Permanent. What you’ll be doing
- Carry out all required environmental monitoring and reporting of results
- Manage the leachate and surface water systems
- Operate and maintain the leachate treatment plant
- Supervise contractors, carry out contractor monitoring and issue permits to work
- Schedule the work using the site monitoring schedule and plant maintenance plan involved with delivering the company’s aspiration for site with good biodiversity and public amenity
What we’re looking for
- A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4/C (or equivalent) achieved or predicted, including Maths & English
- A‑Levels in Environmental/Science
- Effective communication
- Time management
- Willingness to travel
- Driver’s licence or willingness to get one
