£462.80 – £480 per week (salary depends on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role

A primary school in Newcastle Upon Tyne seeks a KS2 Teaching Assistant to work full-time from September 2026. The Senior Leadership Team welcomes a candidate with excellent knowledge of the Upper KS2 curriculum, supporting Year 5 and Year 6. The TA will provide differentiated support, general in‑class assistance and lead small intervention groups.

Requirements

• Preferably have experience working with Key Stage 2.
• Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Friendly and enthusiastic personality.
• Ability to offer differentiated learning and support pupils with SEND.
