As the face of Tesco on the road, Customer Delivery Drivers meet customers in their homes every day. This role is more than driving; it’s about helping people and delivering great service with a smile.
Responsibilities
- Deliver goods to customers in their homes every day.
- Keep van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised so every customer receives their shopping in perfect condition.
- Load the van safely and complete all checks to ensure it is road‑worthy, reliable and ready to deliver excellent service.
- Talk customers through any order changes, substitutions or short‑dated items in a friendly, reassuring way, and offer refunds where needed.
- Handle products with care, treating every order as if it were your own to maintain quality and customer trust.
- Deliver within the customer’s time slot, providing warm, natural service at the doorstep and leaving customers feeling valued and well looked after.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues to create great team spirit and deliver the best service for customers.
- Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change while out on the road and in the store.
Qualifications
- Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months, with no more than 3 penalty points.
Pay & Hours
Customer Delivery Driver pay starts at £14.18 per hour, rising to £15.45 per hour in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, although roles from 12 hours are also available.
