Roles & Responsibilities

• Full mechanical estimating responsibility from tender enquiry through to final submission.
• Reviewing and analysing specifications, drawings, and tender documentation.
• Carrying out detailed take‑offs for mechanical building services packages.
• Preparing subcontractor and supplier enquiry packages.
• Obtaining and evaluating competitive subcontractor quotations.
• Producing accurate Tender Cost Reports and pricing documentation.
• Conducting site surveys and attending tender meetings where required.
• Producing value‑engineering proposals and cost‑saving solutions.
• Managing multiple tenders simultaneously within strict deadlines.
• Supporting project and contract management teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Attending post‑tender and client meetings as required.

Requirements

• 5 years’ experience within Mechanical Building Services Estimating.
• Strong understanding of mechanical building services systems and installation processes.
• Experience pricing projects ranging from approximately £100K to £5M.
• Ability to work independently and manage full tender lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of estimating software packages.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Building Services Engineering advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to commute to Croydon office regularly.
