Night Social Care Assistant Permanent£21.28 – £21.72 per hour The above amounts include shift allowance and Distant Islands Allowance This post also attracts a Golden Hello Payment of £2,000 and is eligible for the Refer a Friend Scheme payment of £750 – please see attached Terms and Conditions, and the Information Sheet for more information about this scheme and other benefits. Your working pattern is shift working over seven days on a rota basis. The purpose of this role is to provide person centred care to individuals to enable them to live as independently as possible, in line with the principles of the Health and Social Care Standards and the Scottish Social Services Council Codes of Practice and local and national policies in relation to the protection of vulnerable adults. You will be required to carry out tasks and duties delegated by senior staff in an effective and efficient manner ensuring at all times the social and domestic care needs of service users. You will observe the principles of confidentiality in all aspects of practice and ensure the safety and comfort of service users, attending to their general care and well being; including assisting with personal care in keeping with the standards of care required by the Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (SCWIS). work unsocial hours on a rota, click here for Unsocial Hours Information .
