Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored, specialist support to pupils with PMLD, fostering their development and well‑being.
- Assist with personal care and communication strategies, including objects of reference, touch cues, and sensory approaches.
- Implement highly differentiated, multi‑sensory learning activities to engage pupils and support their individual progress.
- Collaborate closely with the Class Teacher and external professionals such as therapists to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Support the development of life skills and promote independence among pupils.
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, especially PMLD, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of communication methods such as sensory approaches, objects of reference, and touch cues.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with children and colleagues.
