Base pay range

Business Resilience Officer £32,700 to £40,500 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A) — Manchester city centre (hybrid – spending a couple of days per week at the office)

We’re looking for a Business Resilience Officer to join our Group Compliance team in Manchester. In this role, you’ll help us stay prepared for risks and respond effectively when things don’t go to plan. From supporting the development of our Minimum Viable Company (MVC) model to helping manage incidents when they occur, you’ll make sure we can keep serving our members and communities, whatever happens.

What you’ll do

  • Support the rollout of our MVC model
  • Support the preparation and provision of MVC training and coaching
  • Work with colleagues across Co‑op to raise awareness of business resilience and business continuity management, and why it matters
  • Encourage a risk‑first mindset and help embed key controls across the wider business
  • Prepare reports and track KPIs to keep us on top of progress
  • Help senior leaders lead our recovery and respond to incidents when they happen
  • Share updates on our Business Resilience programme with senior leaders, covering governance, readiness, and risk

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in business continuity and resilience
  • Knowledge of business continuity management and/or crisis management
  • The ability to spot risks, patterns, and opportunities others might miss
  • Great communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
  • Strong organisational skills and confidence using Microsoft Office
  • Good relationship‑building and collaboration skills
