Overview
This role is for a Class 1 Driver based in Southampton, offering a temporary contract with flexible hours and a pay rate between £21.72 and £24.84 per hour. You will support Royal Mail’s nationwide operations by performing trunking duties between depots, following planned routes without handballing. Responsibilities include transporting mail, completing thorough vehicle checks, maintaining high safety standards, and representing the brand professionally. Morning, evening, and weekend shifts are available. A valid HGV Class 1 (C E) licence is required, alongside a commitment to clean, safe driving. What You Need
- Valid HGV Class 1 / C E licence (held for 2 years)
- Valid and in‑date CPC Digital Tachograph card
- 180 days of Class 1 driving experience in the last 2 years
- Maximum 6 points on your licence
- Ability to pass vetting & DBS checks
