This is an exciting opportunity to join the PNC & Warrants team, where you will research and undertake updates on the Police National Computer (PNC) and linked systems and allocate, control and maintain Magistrates, Crown and European Arrest Warrants to a final outcome.
The role is 0.77FTE (28hrs 27mins per week) Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday plus cover on some Saturdays and Bank Holidays on a rota basis, This is a hybrid role based at Landmark House, Suffolk.
Core Responsibilities
- Receive requests for information from police, authorised agencies or other persons and research the Police National Computer as appropriate
- Create reports and data entries on PNC and other systems within required timescales in line with national policy, data standards and local procedures
- Maintain and review reports and data entries on PNC in accordance with relevant guidelines
- Make enquiries with DVLA as required in respect of driving licence and vehicle details
- Process, research and update enquiries on other systems as necessary
- Undertake research for the monthly PNC impending prosecutions, researching internal and external systems
- Manage the progress of warrants issued by Magistrates and Crown Courts including allocation for execution, intelligence checks and research
- Make necessary arrangements in relation to European Arrest Warrant removals and collections
- Liaise with courts, CPS and other agencies as required
- Prepare thorough and well-researched submissions for warrant withdrawals as required

Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience of updating the Police National Computer
- Experience of working within a police or legal environment
