Job Description:

  • As a Senior Bid Manager within STRABAG UK’s Infrastructure Division, you will play a pivotal role in securing major projects that shape the future of the UK’s energy, water, and civil engineering sectors. Leading complex, high-value bids from opportunity identification through to contract award, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams to develop compelling, customer-focused proposals that showcase STRABAG’s technical excellence, innovation, and commitment to sustainable infrastructure delivery.
  • As part of the Precon team (estimating, planning and proposals), work with operational, technical, and other subject matter experts to deliver bids, whilst ensuring compliance with company governance processes.
  • Develop and manage resource plans and bid budgets, and manage people and processes from initial market engagement, pre-qualification, and tender stages. The role encompasses programme and estimation reviews, risk compilation, liaison with the client and external stakeholders, and facilitating the development of win strategies.

Requirements

  • :Effective bid management, capable of leading tenders with values of £10m to £2Bn
  • +Ensure a bid programme is in place. Review and monitor progress to resolve any issue
  • sReview of pre-contract document
  • sCommercial and design liaison, working alongside the design, estimating and technical team
  • sTo facilitate and present value engineering ideas throughout the proces
  • sBe fully conversant with all construction-related policies and directives from health and safety to CDM
  • .Identify and plan bid resource requirements, and ensure that bid team members are well-supporte
  • dAgree and maintain a bid budget, to manage bid cost and ensure value for mone
  • yEstablish and maintain positive and effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders, customers, supply chain partner
  • sLead and contribute to project co-ordination meeting
  • sWork with technical and commercial teams to ensure compliance with governance requirement
  • sFacilitate lessons learnt and ensure best practice is implemented for continuous improvement

Skills & Qualification

  • d:Degree / HND in Civil Engineering, Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Planning or other related disciplines – or equivalent experienc
