THE ROLE
As a Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality paint repairs and refinishing work, ensuring vehicles are restored to manufacturer and customer expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing vehicles and panels for the paint process
- Mixing and colour matching paints accurately
- Applying primer, basecoat and clearcoat finishes
- Carrying out paint refinishing work to a high standard
- Inspecting completed work and rectifying any paint defects
- Maintaining quality control throughout the repair process
- Ensuring work is completed within agreed timescales
- Working closely with panel technicians and workshop colleagues to maximise efficiency
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a Bodyshop or accident repair environment and take pride in delivering exceptional paint finishes.
- Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer, Paint Technician or Paint Refinisher
- Recognised qualification in Vehicle Refinishing (NVQ / IMI / City & Guilds / ATA or equivalent), with a commitment to continuous professional development
- Experience working within a Bodyshop or accident repair centre
- Strong knowledge of paint application and colour matching techniques
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality standards
- Excellent attention to detail and finishing skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
