Role Purpose

The Project Coordinator supports customer engagements, PMO activity, and larger projects by managing tasks, schedules, and scope through control tools and trackers. This role is essential for maintaining governance, ensuring clear communication, and delivering accurate reporting across internal teams and client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple tasks, risks, issues and decisions for projects.
  • Produce status reports for customers and summary status reports for the practice leads.
  • Support PMO functions including reporting, and data analysis.
  • Coordinate activity across internal teams and external clients, building rapport quickly and professionally.
  • Maintain control using project tools such as Portfolio Trackers, Action Logs, RAID logs, and Finance Sheets to keep projects to agreed scope and timelines.
  • Manage escalations where projects are failing to meet expectations for delivery, including scope and timelines.
  • Adapt to ambiguity and changing priorities while remaining focused and responsive.

Required Skills

  • Highly organised and efficient, able to manage concurrent activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Task orientated approach with the desire and ability to get things done.
  • Diligence and strong attention to detail, with a proactive and task‑oriented mindset.
  • Confident analysing data and extracting actionable insight.
  • Clear communicator with strong written, verbal, and numerical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Previous project coordination or delivery experience is advantageous.

Success Indicators

  • Efficiently staying on top of multiple tasks and activities, meeting deadlines and delivering outputs.
  • Getting things done on multiple client engagements and other initiatives, ensuring activity proceeds as expected.
  • Managing projects and other initiatives from end to end, working with other teams and clients to ensure success.
  • Helping to obtain information from activity owners and collating this into well‑presented reports.
  • Analyzing data and providing valuable insights on activity to allow better management decisions.
  • Communicating clearly and unambiguously with colleagues and clients.
  • Providing clear, logical reports on project activity and causing no surprises.
  • Helping my Team whenever they need it.
  • Helping to develop how our Team works, suggesting improvements and better ways of working.
