The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Additional Learning Support (ALS) Manager to manage and oversee all aspects of an effective Supported Learning department at our Epping Campus. Reporting to the Group Curriculum Director for Supported Learning, you will line‑manage coordinators, assessors, administrators and support staff to ensure students receive the appropriate support.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure day‑to‑day support for students with learning disabilities and/or other disabilities meets their needs.
- Collaborate with the Deputy Curriculum Director and local authorities to implement and manage EHCPS for students.
- Coordinate with local boroughs to secure appropriate funding and resourcing.
- Teach within the Supported Learning department (1‑to‑1 and/or group support) or attach to the main curriculum as per your specialist area.
- Carry out line‑management duties and conduct classroom observations.
Who You Are
- Hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
- Are teacher‑trained and have both management and teaching experience in the Supported Learning curriculum area.
- Have experience as a SENDCO or in a similar role (highly desirable).
